Family Reading Night has been POSTPONED

I want to announce to you that we are making the choice to postpone tonight’s Family Reading Night. This decision is being made because in the particular case of this event, there are very high numbers of people in a very small area we want to avoid those situations when we can easily make it up on another day. In addition, this event would also likely bring many people onto our campus that would not be present during the regular school day.

This decision is being made as a precautionary measure to ensure that we limit any spread of flu-like illnesses including COVID-19. We are particularly concerned with the more susceptible populations including the elderly, pregnant women, people with pre-existing health conditions and those with a compromised immune system. There are no known cases of this virus in the Sultan School District, but again, as a precautionary measure, as recommended, we will postpone this event.

We know that there are very few confirmed cases in Snohomish County, and Family Reading Night is our biggest event of the year, which made this a difficult decision.  Please be on the look out for a later scheduled date this Spring where this annual event will take place, once fears of the COVID-19 virus are diminished.
